About the Artist
The art throughout this site is taken from the work of Los Angeles artist Harriet Zeitlin.
Widely exhibited, Ms Zeitlin has been working for some 50 years, and like many artists has been going through particular phases. What gives her contemporary work distinctiveness is the way she works with what she calls "found objects," objects she

encounters or that surround her and which evoke in her something beyond what they traditionally mean or are used for. Thus the bark from palm trees can become a burning bush and interwoven ties can flesh out the garment of an African bride.
We chose her work because as she redefines form and function, she forces us to go past the limitations of ordinary perception and guides us into a larger view.
